Live bomb found in Dwara Village

Dehradun: Panic was struck after a live bomb was found in the Raipur Dwara Gram Sabha area here today. However, the bomb disposal squad diffused the bomb in time.
On Saturday, morning the Village Pradhan, Surat Singh Negi informed the Raipur Police Station that a live bomb had been found lying in the village. Immediately, the police contacted the bomb disposal team and arrived at the site. The villagers heaved a sigh of relieve only after it was confirmed that the bomb had been diffused.
As per the information received from the police, the firing range of the army and Dwara village were very close from the site. It is speculated that the bomb might not have exploded during the test firing at the Army Range and instead landed at the site.
