DIT wins National Debate at SBS

DEHRADUN: DIT lifted Gurucharan Singh Memorial National Debate Competition title organised by Sardar Bhagwan Singh Post Graduate Institute of Biomedical Sciences and Research, Balawala on Wednesday and Thursday. The speakers spoke in favour and against of subject “Are Multinational Companies playing important role in economical growth of the country”. DIT’s Abhimanyu Barthwal won the first prize in the individual category. SBS Institute’s Anchal Bhadwar and Rahul Dubey of Zakir Husain College, New Delhi, were placed second and third respectively. Jyoti Chhabra of MKP (PG) College was given the consolation prize. The panel of judges included Journalist Yogesh Bhatt, Saroj Uniyal, Jyoti Dhawan and Professor Varsha Parcha. Chief Guest of the occasion, Durg Singh Chauhan, Vice Chancellor, Uttarakhand Technical University and Dr. Gauravdeep Singh, Managing Secretary of SBS Institute, gave away the cash prize and mementoes to the winners.
