Red Alert sounded in U’khand after Pune blasts

Dehradun: Uttarakhand Government has issued a red alert in the entire state in the wake of the blasts in Pune that had killed several persons and injured large number of persons there.
The Red Alert Notice was issued by the State Home Department. The DMs and SPs/SSPs have been asked to maintain heightened vigil in their district and particularly in crowded places like markets, theatres etc.
Special Red Alert has been directed in Haridwar district in the wake of Mahakumbh that is underway there. The district and the Mela Administrations have been directed to ensure foolproof checking and frisking of the visitors, pilgrims and all concerned at the Kumbh so as to ensure that there was no breach of security or any untoward incident.
The public too has been urged to inform the Police about any suspicious character or object that comes to notice.
